DTE Precast Concrete Transformer Pads

Advance Concrete Products manufactures precast concrete transformer pads for DTE Energy electrical service installations throughout Michigan.

Our transformer pads are manufactured for the specific single-phase, three-phase and secondary termination configurations identified in the current DTE Electric underground service standards.

Using a precast transformer pad eliminates on-site forming and concrete curing and provides contractors with a manufactured foundation that can be delivered to the project and set in place as part of the underground electrical installation.

DTE uses several transformer pad configurations based on the transformer type, voltage, capacity and secondary arrangement. The table below summarizes the current 2026 DTE specified transformer pads.
3-6-1 Single-phase, except 4.8 kV switching 4'-0" × 4'-5" x 8"
3-6-2 Single-phase 4.8 kV switching and certain 3-phase applications 4'-5" × 4'-4" x 8"
3-6-3 3-phase 300/500 kVA and dead-front 75–750 kVA 6'-2" × 5'-6" x 8"
3-6-4 3-phase and ISO pad transformers 750–1500 kVA 7'-2" × 6'-6" x 8"
