Is Awarded NPCA Certified Plant Distinction
for 15th Consecutive Year
Advance Concrete Products accepts NPCA award for being one of the
longest continuously certified precast concrete plants in North America
(Highland, Michigan) – March 13, 2007 – For the 15th consecutive year, Advance Concrete Products, located in Highland, MI, has been awarded status as a National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) Certified Plant. Following notice of re-certification status, the company also accepted an award by NPCA for being one of the longest continuously certified plants in North America having passed all inspections since 1991.
In unannounced certification inspections conducted in December, Advance Concrete Products received a high score of 95.15 placing them in the top 10% of all certified plants in the country. This designation recognizes Advance Concrete Products as a precast manufacturing plant dedicated to operating at the highest standards of production and quality.
To achieve certification, Advance Concrete Products was graded in several critical areas of precast concrete production including:
· Plant quality control procedures
· Concrete mixture and reinforcement design
· Production practices
· Pre-pour, post-pour and final inspections
· Concrete and aggregate testing
Advance Concrete Products in the only pre-cast concrete plant of its kind in Michigan to receive NPCA certification. In the United States only 13% of pre-cast plants are certified.
Upon receiving the good news, President of ACP, Rick Kirchner responded, "We are very proud to have received our NPCA Plant Certification for the 15th consecutive year. It means a lot to us to have an outside inspector come in and look at our whole operation from a quality standpoint and from a manufacturing production standpoint and say, ‘You’re doing it better than all the rest. And you’ve been doing it better than all the rest for a long time.'”
